that was the leader

Sometimes life puts us in places that we never thought of. Coming to Wananda was one of them. The walk next to the river brought insights about life in this place. We learned that all creatures are interconnected and that they all see different dimensions. Living in the same one while perceiving different ones. Sometimes the team to share their dimensions, they connect via some type of telepathy using the center of their skull. Only some species seem to be able to do this. We learned this, again, thanks to Yoda.

He connected with a creature with feathers that we called Ganchalopia. It emitted a sound like “cluac clauc clua”. At first, the creature was afraid of the Gatunido, Yoda took more than a thousand eye-blinks to get close to it. I kept my distance next to a tree. Yes, there are trees here. As Yodi calmed down and showed that he was on a peace mission more of the Ganchalopias came. They surrounded him in a type of examination. Yoda was ecstatic, wondering how the creatures would react and if this would be the first time he would use the Ty.

The biggest Ganchalopia, with a red crown on its head got closer to Yoda. In the place where I grew up, that would have been considered intimidation. It ran in circles around him, clapping its wings, doing some type of ritual. Then look at his group, and shouted coco ro coooo. Yoda’s eyes were big as eggs of Sampaludias. His tale was straight, a sign that he was getting ready to use his Ty. The Ganchalopias got closer. One of them with a silvery neck and green emeralds sparkles seemed to be a leader. It’s in the first row, moving toward Yoda. Yoda is focused, his full-range vision sees all the Ganchalopias. The leader is at one hand distance from Yoda, I can’t breathe. First close encounter in Wananda.

Very slow, the Ganchalopia straightens its neck, puts its head down, and touches softly the fur of Yoda. That’s the same sign that the Marganidas of Gelirunio gave to declare peace to the Uycalupios. Yes, the Ganchalopias are our friends. Yoda answers back by giving a nose touch, they’ve connected.

I keep my distance while the Gatunido does the interdimensional politics. He explains the purpose of our trip and introduces me. When I hear a miauuu I go out of the bushes, that was our sign.

The Ganchalopias are beautiful, from close their colors shine like diamonds, they are all different, covered in feathers as if they would be going to a carnival. They also have their babies, little Ganchalopias in groups of five running behind the female. They’re two times the size of my head and seem to very clever.

They took us for a walk next to the river and explained to us how they live in a community with insects and plants. Their role in this place is to keep a balanced soil while moving insects from here to there. At a higher level, they have been trusted to keep the secrets of Wananda. With such responsibility, these animals must have incredible powers. We’ll ensure to keep them happy.

They explained that here the naturenet works the same way as in the other dimensions, that it’s friendly and looks for the peace and harmony of the environment. The Ganchis, we’re getting more familiar with them, invited us to eat something next to the river, they share their eggs with us. They said is a sign of respect and welcome to these new lands. Also that we can ask for more at any time. They overproduce to support the surrounding community, it’s one of their gifts to Wananda.
